Gail Dawson NP

The human mind has always fascinated me and the way it is affected by biological, psychological, social and spiritual influences. When my first career of public accounting no longer satisfied my curiosity, I went back to school to quench my desire to know more about how the mind works.

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner my focus is helping to facilitate mental health in adolescents and adults. I look “upstream” to consider the complex web of interactions in the client’s history, physiology, and lifestyle that can lead to mental illness. I generally use
laboratory testing and other diagnostic techniques to determine the source of the symptoms you may be having. Then, in concert with you, we choose a program of therapeutic lifestyle changes (nutrition, exercise & mind/body practices), supplements, and prescription medications.
